MEXICO CITY – Mexican authorities feature soldiers hit raided a drug gang's camp in north Mexico and killed eight gunmen in a shootout.
The Defense Department says gunmen unsealed blast on personnel as they approached the camp right San Fernando, a municipality in the abut state of Tamaulipas.
A expeditionary evidence says nine another grouping were detained in the assail Friday, including a blackamoor who claimed she had been kidnapped. It says soldiers seized 10 guns, marijuana, 58 camouflage uniforms and 11 bulletproof jackets.
The evidence does not feature what gang ran the camp, but San Fernando is in the hunch of territory dominated by the Zetas cartel. Zetas were blamed for the murder of 72 South and Central Americans at a farm right the municipality last August.
