Camilla Parker Bowles: Making a royal comeback?
For Camilla Parker Bowles, becoming the second princess of Wales hasn’t been easy.
After having an affair with the man married to the world’s darling, it seemed she would always be known as the “the other woman.” (The taped phone call didn’t help.) Her facial expressions can be histrionic and so her photos never look quite, well, royal. Legions of Web sites have popped up to make fun of her every move.
But, we’ve got to hand it to her today. At the royal wedding, Camilla was called “fabulous” in her Anna Valentine champagne and duck-egg blue dress and coat. As she left Westminster Abbey, she was cheered by the crowd, proving she had, perhaps, won the hearts of the British people at last. Even her efforts to mentor Middleton about how to fit in in the royal family did not go unnoticed.
There’s only one thing that went wrong for Camilla, really. That Philip Treacy hat. It would have been extraordinary, had the audacious Princess Beatrice not already stolen the day.

Camilla Parker Bowles Wears a Dress by Her Own Wedding Day Designer
Why mess with a good thing?
The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles, wore an outfit by Anna Valentine to the royal wedding Friday morning – the same designer she chose for her own wedding to Prince Charles in 2005.
Camilla, stepmom to the Duke of Cambridge, wore a champagne silk dress, topped with a hand-embroidered duck-egg blue and champagne coat. But the designer names didn't stop there: Camilla also chose neutral shoes by Jimmy Choo – as did several other guests – and carried a clutch by Valentine. But the most noticeable part of her ensemble, her stately topper, was created by famed milliner Philip Treacy, who designed nearly 40 hats for the occasion.
