Mexico detects first, moderate tsunami sea rise (AP)

LOS CABOS, Mexico – The Mexican blueness says it has perceived the prototypal ocean swells attendant to the tsunami spawned by a magnitude-8.9 earthquake in Japan.

Navy spokesman Jose Luis Vergara says Pacific monitoring stations soured the coast hit perceived swells of 70 centimeters (2 1/3 feet).

Vergara says that "given the height (of the swells), we won't be strained much." Experts had previously warned of doable waves as broad as 6 feet (2 meters).

Vergara said weekday that the looking was "positive as far as we crapper see, but we cannot permit our guard down."
