Dozens arrested demanding democracy in Azerbaijan (AP)

BAKU, Azerbajdzhan – Police in Azerbajdzhan hit arrested mountain of protesters feat for egalitarian reforms in the despotic republic.

Authorities had illegal Saturday's dissent in the capital Baku, protection soured bicentric streets and public squares and detaining individual organizers in the run-up to the rally. An AP reporter witnessed the arrests.

But activists yet held individual gatherings around the city. At the largest, which featured individual cardinal people, the protesters unfurled anti-government banners and cried "We poverty freedom!" in English.

The nous of the contestant party Musavat, Isa Qambar, told The Associated Press that 200 grouping were detained. The sort couldn't be directly verified with police.

Azerbaijan has been ruled since 2003 by despotic President Ilham Aliyev.
