Tibetan leader seeks release of 400 monks in China (AP)

NEW DELHI – A Tibetan churchlike leader has asked Asiatic polity to directly release nearly 400 monks detained from the blockaded Kirti monastery in Sichuan province where two grouping hit died in a conflict with police.

Losang Tenzin Jigme, head lama of the Kirti monastery in Xizang and Dharmsala, says Asiatic forces are not allowing relatives to foregather more than 2,000 monks living in the monastery. He crosspiece to reporters weekday in the Indian capital.

The monastery has been completely surrounded since March 16 by Asiatic brachiate forces, who at digit point prevented matter and other supplies from incoming the compound.

The tensions are the latest troubles at Kirti monastery, where a 21-year-old religious ordered himself on fire last period in protest against Asiatic rule.
