Bahrain prosecutor to question Al Wasat ex-editors (AP)

MANAMA, island – The past honcho editor of Bahrain's important contestant production says he's been summoned by a prosecutor investigating the paper's allegedly unethical coverage of the Muslim uprising against the country's rulers.

Mansoor al-Jamri, past editor-in-chief of Al Wasat newspaper, says he and digit other past top editors will answer the prosecutor's questions Monday.

Bahrain accuses Al Wasat of running fictitious programme reports and false pictures.

Al-Jamri denies the allegations. He and the digit other editors stepped downbound terminal hebdomad to save the production from a campaign to silence anti-government media.

Bahrain has sharply tightened Internet and media controls under expeditionary conception imposed terminal month, after weeks of protests against the sect monarchy.
