Witness says Libyan army hits mosque near Tripoli (AP)

BENGHAZI, Libya – A African attestator says a African army organisation has blasted a minaret of a masjid in a municipality west of Tripoli.

The attestator tells The Associated Press by telephone that individual protesters, who hit been camped exclusive and right the masjid patch demanding the expulsion of Moammar Gadhafi, hit been killed or seriously wounded in Thursday's attack.

The attestator from Zawiya says the expeditionary utilised anti-aircraft missiles and semiautomatic weapons and attacked the protesters around 9:00 a.m. The attestator crosspiece on information of anonymity for fear of reprisals and the inform could not be independently confirmed.

The attestator says the move came one day after a Gadhafi helper came to the municipality and warned the protesters to leave or grappling a massacre.
