Edible Arrangements for Mother's Day
Mother’s Day is coming up and instead of the same old pretty pink flowers she is used to receiving – why not try a healthy-delicious twist this year with an Edible Arrangements fruit bouquet. I received an Edible Arrangements fruit bouquet this year for my birthday, and while I had been a bit skeptical of the brand before – I was incredibly pleased with the gift – the flavor and freshness of the fruit was quite impressive – not to mention gorgeous to look at. Here are my tips on extending the life of your yummy Edible Arrangements bouquet..
I received a quite large gift – and since there was no one at home except me at the time the fruit bouquet arrived – I knew I should take action fast to preserve the deliciousness. I took a few photos of the arrangement, nibbled on the pineapple flowers, cantaloupe melon, oranges, globe grapes, honeydew and strawberries for a while – then plucked many of the fruit stems and placed them in a plastic bag to store in my fridge.
The fruit was good for about two days after the bouquet arrived! We promptly ate most of it for breakfast and snacks. Delicious and fun.
I also loved the sweet re-usable copper-colored “planter” box the fruit arrived in. I still have it and use it often in my office to collect tiny stray papers and post-its.
So if you’d like to break away from flowers this mother’s Day – I say go for it!
I quite like Edible Arrangement’s Mother’s Day Delicious Celebration - all pure fruit starting at $47. Browse Mother’s Day Edible Arrangements selections.

Edible Arrangements: A Popular Mother’s Day Gift Item Launches Charity Campaign
Edible Arrangements®, a popular resource for high end fresh fruit arrangements announced that, in addition to being a popular gift for the upcoming Mothers Day holiday, the company has launched a new non-profit campaign to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters called “Random Acts of Happiness.”
The Random Acts of Happiness campaign will take place online at their web site as well as in Edible Arrangements’® stores from April 2011 to August 2011. The campaign is a nationwide competition promoting the importance of spreading happiness, encouraging optimism and celebrating role models and good deeds.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters for Random Acts of Happiness,” states Steve Thomas, VP of Marketing at Edible Arrangements®. “The organization supports our mission for this program which is to demonstrate that even the smallest gesture or good deed can make an immeasurable impact on an individual’s happiness. By partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, we hope to encourage involvement in the Random Acts of Happiness program and in turn, spread happiness throughout our communities.” “There’s so much uncertainty out there,” says Steve. “Yet there’s always a reason to celebrate life’s everyday achievements. At Edible Arrangements® we feel that no occasion is too small to be celebrated and we hope to spread that outlook through the launch of this campaign.”
Here are the basics of how the program works:
• Individuals and teams are encouraged to upload photos or stories of completed “Random Acts of Happiness” at www.actsofhappiness.com.
•Visitors to the site are then able to vote, one time each day, favorite individual or team. For every vote, a donation of $1 will be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
•The top individual vote getter will receive a $10,000 prize, and the top team in the vote count will receive $20,000.
